This is what I get for being a "nature girl"

and an "urban" greenie at that!

I had a date tonight, which went very well, so it made the rest of my story seem a lot more amusing than it probably would have otherwise . . . .

So, I bought this BRAND NEW car . . . . and I parked it under a fabulous huge SHADE TREE downtown while I enjoyed my evening with a charming and intellectual man from Chile . . . when this gentleman walked to me to my car at the end of the evening . . . . I found TONS of fresh (and I mean FRESH like still WET) bird shit ALL over my car!



So, I get home from my date at like 11 pm, and I have to go out to wash the SHIT off of my brand new car! I'm sure my neighbors thought I was some tweaker out there fidgeting with shit (literally) in the middle of the night strung out on something crazy! I got the hose out and everything.



. . . . and so life goes on fighting for a better urban environment and getting shit on in the process ;)

New car comes with a new job, right?

Well, at least that's what I decided. Along with new clothes, shoes, purse, and briefcase too - I've gotta fit the part :)

Now it's time to work hard and enjoy!

I am SO incredibly thrilled and honored to have accepted an offer for a new job. This is an extremely exciting time for me. I will be working for a lobbying and advocacy firm who represents non-profit organizations and government agencies on natural resources issues at the State Capitol.

I am REALLY excited about this opportunity and ready to take a step forward in my career. I am nervous as well. Things are going to be hectic for sure, it will be a learning curve, but that's what I like!



No kidding, my new office is 1/2 block from this . . . .
