Spontaneous Escape to Sea Ranch

I had this strong feeling that I needed to get out of town this weekend, so Thursday night I emailed my friend Steven and asked him if I could visit him in Berkeley. Friday afternoon at 4 pm, he invited me to join him in a last minute trip to Sea Ranch with some friends! I have always wanted to check this place out and what could be more perfect for a getaway?!

Saturday we headed out on a hike along the coast . . .

Sea Ranch was built in the 1960s and is a sustainable community featuring beautifully architectured homes with lots of natural light, solar power, and wonderfully sited in the redwoods and along the coast.

We were one happy bunch!

Sunday we drove down the coast and enjoyed the gorgeous weather and white caps on the ocean - ahhhhhhhh . . . . thank you Sea Ranch . . . . thank you Steven and friends :)

I'm not the only one that knows the secret

So, I was getting a professional picture taken for my work and the guy was telling me to turn this way and that . . . tilt my head a little to the left, a little to the right . . . and he was telling me funny things to make me smile, and guess what he said - "okay, now say 'men suck'" and I burst into laughter - how could this photographer know me so well?

Anonymous birthday flowers from NJ

So, my birthday was totally like 2 months ago, but I was riding home from work today, and I was thinking about how beautiful my flowers are that I bought at the farmers' market, and I remembered the last time I got flowers, and it was my birthday!

I got a random bouquet of flowers on my birthday at my new work office. The card said "Happy Birthday" and that was it! The flowers came all the way fom New Jersey in a box. Totally random it seems, but I'd love to know who they're from!
