I've been Frida-fied!
We went to the Frida Kahlo exhibit that is at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) on Saturday.
It was amazing.
Her art is very powerful, some may say weird, but I see . . . .
magnificent creations full of emotion and creativity that have deep and meaningful depictions of life, love, nature, pain, suffering, pride, politics, religion, and more. Here are a few of my favorites, I'm sure you can see why :)

Luther Burbank, 1931

Roots, 1929

The Love Embrace of the Universe, the Earth (Mexico), Me, Diego, and Mr. Xolotl, 1949
It was amazing to see the original paintings, gathered and borrowed from collections around the world, and to view them so close that you can see the brush strokes in the paint. I have never before seen such an amazing collection of work. It was truly an honor to experience this, and I want to go again before the exhibit closes.
