It was amazing!!!

I got up at 2 am Pacific Time here in Sacramento, CA to watch the eclipse online with NASA and the Exploratorium. Over one full hour of live footage of the eclipse with totality occuring at 3 am for 3-5 minutes. What an amazing experience and incredible vision to see this happening live in Side, Turkey from an ancient theater!!! I meditated the entire time (at times oddly overwhelmed with emotion) concentrating on the energy and welcoming major change and new beginnings!!!!

I have always felt very connected to nature and the natural world, but this was quite the experience!

Love the snow, but not the rain!

For us lucky Californians, it doesn't snow unless your above 4,000 ft. elevation or so. But what we do get is A LOT of RAIN! Rain for us means snow in the Sierras and great SKIING, but please let's not have a repeat of new years! We could have rowed around in a canoe in my backyard!

Birthday Bash!

My wonderful friend Steven and I had a great birthday party this weekend for both of us! He's now the big 3-0 and me the frightening 2-9 :) We had a great time getting the house and food all ready! Thanks to my beautiful cousin Michele for designing the menu and to Steven and Savitra for their amazing skills in the kitchen - we had chicken and steak tacos with ALL the fixings - especially the sour cream and guacamole, my favorite! Everyone brought delicious dishes to share and we had cake and candles too (the candles were actually long matches - he he). Savitra actually picked fruit from the backyard to make the sangria - thanks Steven that sangria really helped us go up a few notches on the funometer! Until next year!

A NEW LIFE!!!!

I don't have pictures or details yet, and of course I would ask for permission, but I can hardly contain myself. My best friend Carrie and her husband Rob just had their first child Tyler!!!!!!!

Carrie has been my girl since 5th grade! Even with the distance between us (now a whopping 3,000 miles) she has always been there for me through it all! I can only hope I have the same for her.

CONGRATULATIONS CARRIE AND ROB!!!!!! WELCOME TO THE WORLD TYLER!!!!!!
